There are various Davis® Programs that target different problems. All the Davis® Programs are one-on-one and intensive. There are short breaks throughout the day with an hour long lunchbreak. The client should be well rested and ready to learn

The problem occurs when there is disorientation which results from confusion and this in turn causes perceptual distortions in the individual. At this point, the individual is in a state of diorientation, and often information is sometimes mis-seen, or mis-heard and even mis-interpreted. Consequently, this leads to the individual making many mistakes. The areas that usually afflicted are in reading, in writing, in spelling and in concentration.

In solving the above mentioned problems, the Davis Correction Program is designed for individuals aged from 8 onwards to help them overcomes the dyslexia challenges. It is a one-on-one program that gives the basic Davis tools to help control disorientation, control energy and even manage stress. The Davis Symbol Mastery helps an individual to master language symbols like punctuation marks and even the alphabet. In doing this, an individual is also assisted in mastering "trigger" words, which are those words that are difficult to visualize, for example "and" or "the" which trigger confusion for dyslexics.

The Davis program is delivered for thirty hours a week, over a 6 day period, from Monday to Saturday.

In this program, Davis reading exercises will be given to the individual being trained which will track the ability to read fluently and even comprehension. Further, additional activities may be added if the individual has handwriting problems.

There is support training provided for the designated person(s), either the parent or a teacher as well as materials that will be used for the at-home part of thie program. This program includes three basic follow-up reviews, and unliminited phone or e-mail communication.

This program is specially designed to provide tools to our learners that help correct problems in learning math. Sometimes called dyscalculia, these programs accompany dyslexia and other learning difficulties, and make it hard for an individual to grasp the concepts of math.

In contrast to other traditional math learning methods, this program addresses the root issues that cause difficulty in learning math, such as the confusion experienced by Visual-spatial thinkers that cannot grasp math described by words and sysmbols. The first step therefore is to address any disorientation experienced, and ensuring the individual has all their perceptions accurately thought out. This ensures that any further confusions about math can be resolved and the individuals can build upon their creative strengths.

Individuals who are labeled or diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD or ADHD) tend to be highly imaginative and creative thinkers. Often they have difficulty harnessing their ideas and translating thought to action. They know what they want to accomplish, but struggle when it comes to completing tasks and establishing organization in their lives. Davis Concept Mastery is a system of guided modeling of concepts, which enables individuals to develop personal insight and understanding into their self-created barriers through exploring concepts such as consequence, order, and responsibility.

As educators, we believe that our young learners are better advantaged going forward if they are given a good start in their education life. A good foundation enables them to grasp learning concepts and develop a good learning culture. Research conducted on the Ron Davis methods employed on young learners showed that such exposure ensured that the likelihood of developing a learning disability was minimized, and the children were more often than not referred to gifted programs. These children also had strengthened word recognition levels when compared to other children that had not been exposed to the Ron Davis methods.

As a trained Ron Davis Facilitator, I work with the child personally, and also engage a parent or a guardian or a contact person so that further exercises can be done outside the session hours. As such, we forge a relationship; between the child, the guardian and myself and this will be the channel through which learning will take place, and the child will get the skills required to learn how to read fluently and to comprehend, among other skills. This relationship also allows the guardian to assist and supervise any further work in an environment where the facilitator is not present.
